Good Practice Vs Bad Practice

These videos explore a Chairperson condcuting a meeting using good practice and one conducting bad practice. Spot the difference and post a comment below on the good Vs bad.

  1. The Bottom video's meeting has a clear structure, with the audience engaging in conversation and the chair person being open and friendly. Whereas in the top video, the meeting doesn' have a clear pathway leading conversation, the chair person appears abrupt, aggressive and not overly approachable.

  2. These are great videos as they really do portray the difference in styles of a good chairperson compared to a bad chairperson. I learn't a lot from watching the effective chair video and have picked up some great techniques to utilise when running a meeting myself.
    I am getting so much out of this and the information is fantastic and so informative.

  3. I agree Jennifer, the videos and information provided have been very helpful in understanding the different components within meetings. It provides different types of information, ways of understanding and allows all bases to be covered.

  4. I agree with the previouse posts. The second video is definately how a meeting should be run. The Chairperson is leading the meeting and is checking with the members and validating what has been said and how the meeting is progressing.
